KTEB High Volume Advisory – FBO Reservation Requirements
We would like to request assistance in spreading the word to all of our Airport Users, ensuring everyone understands the anticipated operational impacts and reservation requirements during this upcoming high-volume period.
Beginning now and continuing through the end of next month, with the UN General Assembly ramping up and September/October generally being busy months for us. Users will likely see delays and limited airborne holding during periods of compacted arrival demand and/or TEB Ground Delay Programs for arrivals to TEB. Additionally, all of our TEB FBOs are already at capacity and are currently closed to all unscheduled arrivals. NOTAMs referencing these closures are currently posted for all FBOs until next week Friday 2359L, these NOTAMs are likely to extend until the end of the month. Users planning operations at TEB MUST contact their FBO of choice to ensure they have a reservation prior to arriving at TEB. We emphasize, this reservation requirement also applies to international arrivals, reservations with customs do not mean you have a reservation for an FBO (This creates issues as FBOs are unaware that these flights plan to come to their ramp).
Next week, September 15th and 16th. HPN will have a scheduled Runway 16/34 closure beginning at 0930L on the 15th and extending until 1830L on the 16th. In the past, extended closures like this have affected our operations tremendously. If users do not have a reservation, they should make one or plan to arrive at an alternate airport.
